Reginald Earnshaw
The Brewers Pride, Low Mill Road, Healey is the site of the very first Blue Plaque to be installed in Ossett.
It was unveiled on September 28 2019 in recognition of 14 year old Reginald Earnshaw; the youngest service personnel to lose his life in World War 2.

Hannah Pickard
On November 9 2019 Ossett's second blue plaque was unveiled at Green Mount, South Ossett; the former home of Hannah Pickard. This lady was recognised by Ossett Through The Ages (OTTA) for her philanthropy and her generous bequests to Ossett and beyond.
Stephen Hines
On January 16 2021 Ossett Civic Society(in partnership with Ossett Through The Ages(OTTA)) installed its first Blue Plaque in recognition of renowned sculptor; Stephen Hines. This plaque was unveiled at Stephen's former home - 'Pietra' on Horbury Road, South Ossett.
